Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK3) is a regulatory enzyme that phosphorylates numerous substrates and regulate many physiological processes such as glycogen metabolism, gene expression, apoptosis, signal transduction and cell fate.
Lithium a inhibitor metal of the enzyme is effetive in prevent Alzheimer's disease.

Lithium and GSK-3 beta enzyme
